PROBLEM AREAS --
AFTER ALL, THIS IS A 17-YEAR-OLD MOTORHOME
1. Sleeps 4? Well, two of them will be using a convert-a-bed pulled from the sofa in the living room. The bedroom’s sleep number full queen is the prime bed. No bunk or overhead beds; those potential spaces are closets and storage in this model.
2. Window shades: we’ve rebuilt most of them and have the Winnebago parts and instructions but it’s getting harder and harder because the original materials are old. Currently, the shade behind the sofa is closed and nonfunctional.
3. DirecTV: the dish goes with the motorhome, but the service says it owns the receiver and it must be returned. You’re welcome to try to get approval of an assignment of the current contract. The dish has quite a bit of rust, which has been touched up. Satellite reception is still good. Local TV antenna included along with cable hookup and coax.
4. Remotes: neither radio nor door remotes work. TV remotes are fine. The radio in the bedroom sounds as if it has a bad speaker.
5. The bathroom mirror is losing silver along its edges. So is the Jeep’s rear-view mirror.
6. The Jeep has a lot of miles unrecorded during towing. Only 2WD is available.
