The Keystone Springdale exceeds in its role as a mid-sized travel trailer perfect for a small family. Everything is designed with that in mind. The tailer itself is small enough to be easy to drive with; a perfect first RV. It comes with a backup camera as well to further aid the driving process. The unit also comes with in-body storage near the front of the vehicle, great for storing everything you don’t want to keep in your car.
The interior of this unit, however, is where its virtues truly shine. The back of the unit is three huge windows including a wall-to-wall picture window on the back, letting you view the beauty of Badlands or the majesty of the Rocky Mountains, right from your dinner table. The table can comfortably fit four with its crescent shaped booth. Between the dining room and kitchen is a small entertainment center with a TV and speaker system. The speakers are both inside and outside the unit and impressed our photography team who most certainly utilized them.
The kitchen is efficiently sized, but by no means small, it is perfect in relation to the rest of the unit. There is an in-wall full-sized fridge and freezer, a three-burner gas stove, a microwave and a rather large sink. The kitchen is very well lit with both windows and lights both in the ceiling and the bottom of the cabinets. The sink comes with a cover which, in conjunction with faux marble counters, gives you all the counter space you need. There are also numerous cupboards and drawers to organize all your utensils and dishware.
Past the kitchen is the bathroom, which has a faux marble counter, with a sink and cupboard for towels and toiletries. There is also a mirror adorned medicine cabinet for even more storage. The shower also doubles as a bathtub, perfect for little kids or particularly muddy pets.
Moving to the front of the unit is the master bedroom; it is sectioned off from the rest of the unit with a curtain that gives some privacy or can be pushed to the side. The bed is an RV queen and quite comfortable, especially compared to other RV beds. There are two cabinets straddling the bed, both with a bar across to hang your clothes. There is also a shelf over the bed for even more storage. Two outlets are on both sides of the bed, perfect for charging your devices in preparation for the coming day’s adventures. There are two windows on both sides of the bedroom, so you can wake to the rays of a sunrise on your face, or there are curtains if you prefer to sleep late.
This is a truly quaint unit, with faux wood floors, and lots of windows, you will immediately feel captivated by your surroundings; you are not in a campsite, rather in it. For a small family who wants not to just see, but rather be immersed in the natural wonders of North America: this is your unit.
